In the top picture you can see the Arcadia and for years mostly in the sixties there was the big red Magikist lips sign on the building
with the steel structure on top.

If you zoom in on the photo with the Arcadia, you can see the old Azusa building on the corner. I never realized it had lost so much of the ornamentation over the years. Wow.
Also, you can see a "You are entering Uptown" sign. That would be amazing to recreate.

Magikist! I loved those ol' signs. I passed one every time I went to see my grandfather.

And you're right, UU, a welcome sign would be amazing.
