Accident at Wilson L, 1956

Wilson Express Leaving the Loop, 1918
At one time, Uptown commuters would have taken the Wilson Express to get home. When the Northwestern Elevated Railroad began operation in 1900, Wilson was the north terminal of the line. This image, courtesy of the Library of Congress, was taken at East Adams Street and South Wabash Avenue. You can see the "Wilson Exp" sign in the top left corner.
