Edgewater Beach Apartments, 1961

An excellent photo that shows how the Lake Shore Drive extension cut the Edgewater Beach Hotel and Edgewater Beach Apartments off from the beach.

I don't think I've seen this perspective anywhere else. In the background is the Edgewater Apartments; this was obviously taken from the Edgewater Beach Hotel, so predates the demolition; the date on the negative is 1961.
