I remember getting stitches in my head from a doctor in that tall building. A friend threw a rock at me and it hit me square in the forehead. I lived at 852 Lawrence, I believe. I ran up three flights of stairs with blood running down my face and when my mother saw me she asked what had happened and I told her who did it. She wiped some of the blood off of my face and marched me next door to the girl's mother to let her know what had happened. Her mom took me to the doctor. I think I had about 3 or 4 stitches. I was about 4 and this happened in about 1948. My younger brother's doctor was there as well, Dr. Sager. Probably spelled wrong.
Chicago is the largest city in Illinois. It is very known in US. Actually, it is the third of the most popular. What makes it special is the high buildings built there and the houses for sale in Chicago Illinois.
I will be on the tour of Uptown, this saturday, history Archetect tour put on by Lee Diamond. Starting at 11am on 11/3/12 at chase Park(Leland and Ashland).Anyway, I was told that the Uptown National ban building(pictured above) had some floors added in the mid floors, raising it taller. this was also true of the kemper Insurance building at sheridan and Lawrence, believe 5 floors were added...Jerry
