What is the vantage point of the top pic? I can't pick anything out. Any idea?

That's the only info on the pic; I don't know the orientation. I don't think any of what we're looking at exists anymore.

The top picture is looking south from east of Broadway. The streetcars are on Broadway. At the upper left is the stub of the Northewestern Elevated RR. It remained the northern terminus until May 1908 when service was extended north into Evanston (at ground level north of Ainslie.)

Great pictures. Looks like the country instead of the big city today with the old horse drawn carriages and all the trees.

I am just seeing this particular post for the first time. In the top photo, the building at upper right (with a tower) is, I think, the Sheridan Park station. I've seen pictures of that on here too, no?

We have three or four photos of the Sheridan depot. You can see one of them here:

Sheridan Depot.

Then click the "Sheridan Park" link at the bottom, and you'll pull up some more.

Buena Boy - In the top photo I think you are correct about that building in the upper right being the Sheridan park depot. On that "Sheridan Depot" link there is a photo that shows a crossing gate in the right foreground I think may be looking north from Wilson ave. not Sheridan rd. like I had thought. I just assumed that the depot was at the ground level between Dakin and The current station off Sheridan.
