Although it clearly says Edgewater Beach, it really is in Rogers Park. it shows the old Birchwood Country Club building that was just recently torn down
Ya your right because the small building with the peaked roof just to the left of the lifeguard perch is still there and that's on the end of Touhy ave. Was that country club relocated to Highland Park? Because a Birtchwood club was established there in 1958 Al
To my knowledge the Birchwood County club never relocated; it disbanded some time ago. The subdivision there was called Birchwood and the train stop on the St. Paul RR (now the red line)at Jarvis was called Birchwood.
