The Equator Restaurant, 1729 W. Montrose, as it looked in 1965. Check out the detail on the corner of the building. I can't tell if it's tile or painted on. In any case, it's no longer visible on the building today.

I've always wanted to see what business was in that space. It looks odd without a business there, don't you think?
I haven't been by there since finding this image; is the lower space residential now? It would be amazing to open those windows back up; they do look strange bricked in.
