  1. this is the east jetty where most fishermen congregated, it was an easy walk from the bait shop, the west jetty was a long walk around the harbor from the bait shop.
    If you look closely at the picture you will notice posts running the length. these posts were connected by cables. they were added for safety
    in about 1955.A seiche hit the jetties and horseshoe in 1954. killing 8 fishermen
