Irving Park Boulevard and the Lake Shore

This is one of the earliest postcard images I've seen for the area. The Pattington was built in 1906 and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

In 1995, the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois awarded The Pattington the Richard H. Driehaus Preservation Award.

Apparently, when that post card was prepared there was some sort of "little person" convention in town and they were having pony and miniature carriage races up and down Irving!

There is some info on the Pattington at that condo association's website:
http://www.the-pattington.com/

The site doesn't mention Isabel Hand, but I know that the association has done a fair amount of historical research, so someone there should know the answer to that question.
